Summary, etc. Der gesellschaftliche Blick auf binationale Paare in Deutschland ist ambivalent: Er bewegt sich zwischen den Polen der Idealisierung (als Symbole einer multikulturellen Gesellschaft) und der Ablehnung (als Symbole für das »Fremdgehen« deutscher Frauen). Doch wie gestalten binationale Paare ihre Paarbiographien? Die vorliegende Studie analysiert Formen biographischen Lernens der Paare und wirft Licht auf die Bedeutung von Konstruktionen »kultureller Differenz« und von Geschlechterbeziehungen. Sie zeigt, dass sich durch die binationale Partnerschaft Möglichkeiten der Realisierung von Lebensentwürfen eröffnen, die herkömmliche Geschlechterbeziehungen herausfordern und erweitern.
