Durch die Verknüpfung von Elementen einer Sozialtheorie der Zeit mit Ansätzen aus der Lebensstilforschung werden Mahlzeiten als Episoden der alltäglichen Lebensführung begreifbar. Empirische Befunde treffen dabei auf anspruchsvolle theoretische Grundlegungen.
